I will not count one to ten

I will not be so hell bent

I will listen with full attention

Not squeeze in my question

I will give them more freedom and space

Not breathe down to raise their pace

More we shall laugh and play

My phone I shall keep away

I must not be so instructive

Allow them to be more inquisitive

Not to say because I said so

Let them choose which way to go

Everyday I Tell Myself

I will not scream and shout

Another technique I will figure out

Everyday I Tell Myself

Not to be such a control freak

Encourage them to try and seek

Everynight I Tell Myself

All my resolve has gone down the drain
