The divide you have created is here to stay
In the coming years, we all shall pay

Our evenings circled around friendly banter
Now over Hindutva we dander
Earlier we discussed progress and know how

With your divide and rule craftsmanship
Your adhar, demonitisation and other checks
Have tightened the noose around our necks
Raised and educated in a secular nation
You have reduced our talks to only religion
No longer we cry and fight for the rape victim
But categorise them as Hindu, Dalit or Muslim!
Your moral police, bhakts and ministry
Infringe upon our freedom and privacy
All forms of media you employ
A false image you deploy
You have gained five years or ten
For which the nation will always repent!
The first 2 lines embodies the rest of the article. Though of course, no one would sit up and take notice. And that is so aptly summed up by the fact that no has bothered to comment. Have people just become disinterested or blinded, time will only tell. Just remember, we reap what we sow.
ReplyDeleteThat is the biggest worry. The fabric of society will change for the long term and we all are too complacent to say anything about it. Blinded is the key word here.
